I recently enabled data logging because of this post on VAF. Check it out. It works great!

Re: Loading Geo-Ref plates
On a related topic, displaying approach plates. I live on a private airpark, 0TX1, that recently got a private GPS approach. Private means that while the approach is in the Garmin and Avidyne units, the approach plate is not, nor is it in Seattle Avionics or Foreflight. I have a pdf copy of the appr...

This RV7a is 10 years old with WS units installed originally and then upgraded to HX units 6 years ago. The auto setting...

Re: Outdoor temperature unstable
Yes, the temp and everything else on the EIS is solid so I ruled out bad connections. I will be flying home on Monday so will go check the setup. Thanks for the hint Jeff.

Outdoor temperature unstable
On my flight yesterday the outside temperature displayed on the HX on the engine page bounced all over. The temperature on the EIS is rock solid but the temperature displayed on the engine page bounces all over. It was 64 degrees yesterday and went from -25 to 110 deg. It did display 64 deg but kept...

Re: ehcoUAT
I flew with the new 2.4 software twice this week and can verify that you can indeed move the traffic/weather data out to the other serial port and run it at 115200. The config app was on Android Monday evening so I got Ryan to send the new software to me and flew on Tuesday in between storms rolling...

I also passed with both RV7a and RV10 but with Avidyne 540 with ADSB+.

Re: V9. No more call out of alt during landing
I loaded V9 to our HXs in our RV7a and made a SAP approach to landing and got a 500 foot call out on landing yesterday. Womens voice.

Re: Avidyne IFD540 works with HX?
Ivan, I have tried the wifi, just to see if it works and with Foreflight. Found all that was supported was to move flightplan from 540 to Foreflight in the current software version. I did not buy the keyboard. It is a very nice radio. There is a very good book titled "Flying with the Avidyne IF...
