Viewing approach plates on HXr
Do I have to have my aircraft outside the hangar w/GPS reception in order to view approach plates on my Hxr. I ask this question because I have followed instructions to the "T" regarding downloading SEC, Low Alt Enroute, and approach plates and have been unable to access any plates on my t...

Magnetometer Calibration
Hi gang. Need some help in getting my GRT magnetometer calibrated. Here's the situation. 1. Magnetometer is located in my left wing, attached to the outer rib per GRT instructions. 2. It is just a tab bit over 18 inches from my left aileron. 3. I don't have a strobe, just LED nav light and an incand...

Re: Fuel Pressure Indication setup HXr EFIS
Bob, This configuration is fine if I'm using the EIS, with the line from the 200 ohm resister feeding voltage to the EIS. But I'm not using the EIS for any of my Analog inputs. I'm using the HXr EFIS Analog configuration with the line from the 200 ohm resister tapped into the HXr EFIS as Analog inpu...

Re: fuel Quantity calibration
Oops, made and error. I meant to say I first used Forward sensing, but changed it after the numbers decreased as fuel was added.

Re: fuel Quantity calibration
Thanks, Jeff, for the info. I think I've got it worked out after I tried a few configurations and lots of de-fueling refueling my tanks. I used reverse sensing but quickly changed it. I thought it a bit odd after I configured each tank to integer that the tables were still in digital format. Is this...

Re: fuel Quantity calibration
Let me start over again on this subject as I spent some time reading previous posts wrt to this subject after I tried fueling/calibrating today with unsatisfactory results. I've reread the documentation as mentioned regarding calibration with the EFIS, Revision A1, dated 1 July 2013 to ensure I didn...

fuel Quantity calibration
Calibrating fuel qty indication on HXr EFIS in my RV9A. Scale factor is set to 100 and offset is 0, decimal, fwd sensing, pull up resistor is ON. With fuel tanks empty my Rt tank fuel qty reading on the EFIS is - .2 Gal. Left tank reads +18.3 Gal. If both float resistors are reading approx the same,...

Re: Fuel Pressure Indication setup HXr EFIS
Thanks, Bob.
I'll have to use a 200 Ohm resistor instead in that normal fuel pressure for an O-320 is 4-6, with 8 being the max.

Fuel Pressure Indication setup HXr EFIS
Is there a different Set-up and configuration for a fuel pressure sender wired directly to a HXr EFIS versus wiring directly to the EFIS as put forth in the VDO Supplemental for the EIS, e.g. scale factor, Aux Off, etc.? I ask this question because i have a VDO 0-30 psi Pressure Sender wired directl...
