Awesome, awesome, awesome!!

Feedback for others. After installing the ARINC module this spring, I have struggled with the configuration of my 430W, the WS H1 and its ARINC connections. A lot of my trouble was the original configuration I did when I did not have the ARINC module (which worked fine for uncoupled ILS). It was not...

Re: TFR Info

I second the request to spend some time on ws programming such as showing all fis-b products that the latest grt efis shows. Specifically tfrs.

Re: GPSS, WS H1,GRT A/P, 430W, ARINC?

May have answered my own question. On review of my airline tickets, I realized I had 2 more hrs available so I went back to the hangar this morning. Updated ARINC software and error messages have gone away. Can't fully ground test (VOR signal, etc) because I'm inside hangar and weather is winter mis...

Re: GPSS, WS H1,GRT A/P, 430W, ARINC?

OK, Its a number of months after I asked the initial configuration question that started this thread. This week, I finished installing the servos and internal ARINC box. Servo ground testing is all OK. ARINC is another matter. The 430 says there is no incoming data on ARINC channel 1. At the same ti...

Re: AHRS alignment times

Thanks for the feedback Jeff. If it happens on the bench, then surely I cannot do any better than I am today. Sounds like it could be easily upset by the wind moving the craft during boot. That explains the variability I was curious about. I do want to be clear about my tumble events. It was my faul...

AHRS alignment times

I think this is more an AHRS question than a WS EFIS question but this appears to be the best spot in the Forum to ask since I am a WS owner. I am curious what influences the alignment times shown on the PFD during boot of the system. Mine seems to be a random selection that is sometimes 45 seconds ...

Re: GPSS, WS H1,GRT A/P, 430W, ARINC?

According to the manual, Minimum install for IFR includes a CDI, not specifically resolver feedback thru ARINC. I do have CDI via the H1 Later in the manual it states that resolver feedback is preferred but not required. Be that as it may, I recently saw a demo that makes me a believer in your point...

Re: GPSS, WS H1,GRT A/P, 430W, ARINC?

It comes down to $$ again. I plan to sell the Trutrack which should provide plenty of cash to purchase the GRT servos and the ARINC box. Therefore the GPSS upgrade is free. Interesting point about the 430W approved IFR installation Re VOR. Even though I have read considerably on it, I could have mis...

Re: GPSS, WS H1,GRT A/P, 430W, ARINC?

Bob, Your concern is founded. I cannot do any OBS feedback functions from H1 to 430W. When I initially wired the systems, budget was tight and I chose to write off any VOR functionality (meaning the OBS communication) . I used the direct outputs from the 430W to feed the H1s so I could get LOC and I...
