Re: Dimming issue and blacked out screens
I replied to this via the support email, I'll post my reponse here as well. The HXr is pretty easy to get to dim. If the Left encoder is not on DIM, press the second button from the left and then turn the Dimmer knob. Memorizing the method on both the HXr and the Mini is an option if care is taken t...

Re: Couple of qustions about installing in my Sonex
Hello Mike, The Map page does not have the airspeed and altimeter tapes. The size of the screen in terms of physical size and pixels is able to handle the map but there just isn't any room to put more stuff in there. The Sport has larger screen, particularly with the 8.4" display and well over ...

Re: GRT sport to Vertical power
Hello amnpilot, Don't connect the serial ground pin 21 on the VP-X Sport. The VP-X Sport pin 20 TX is connected to a Sport EFIS serial port RX, the VP-X Sport pin 22 RX connects to a Sport EFIS serial port TX. Simply find an available serial port on your sport and make the connections to it, for exa...

Re: Couple of qustions about installing in my Sonex
Hello Mike, 1) The mini can be mounted in any orientation without limits. The AHRS has a "Set Instrument Orientation" menu that allows you to offset the Roll, Pitch, and Yaw so the Mini will show the proper attitude. 2) Sandia 165R transponder control is supported. It will require the use ...

Re: Mini-AP Wiring Diagrams and pinouts
Hello Brian, I updated the Mini-AP wiring diagram. Press CTRL - F5 to force a reload of the website page if you are seeing the old page. Also see the ARINC-429 Module documentation. It is a pdf named External ARINC Module Wiring on the GRT Miscellaneous Documentation page. Ignore serial port 4 and s...

Re: Mini Shipping Update
Hello Brian, The Mini-AP and the Lithium Ion battery option have started to ship this week. You just happen to be one of the lucky customers who will have them nestled under their Christmas trees. For everyone else, the shipments will be limited due to the holidays. The backlog will be cleared and n...

Re: Magnetometers
You can add your own connector to the Mini remote magnetometer. A good quality connection with gold plated contacts is recommended for its corrosion resistance. The magnetometer is documented in the Mini-X and Mini-AP wiring and connector definitions on the Mini Documentations webpage. The 9 pin D-S...

Re: Sport SX display flickers, dims and sometimes shuts off.
Hello Stump, Make doubly sure that the SX is getting good clean DC voltage and that the power wiring has good continuity. I emphasis this because a thorough check isolates the problem either to or away from the SX, whereas an incomplete check does not. It can easily be a wiring issue or bad power. I...
