So on a VTF approach, after the last vector has been given and I’m ‘Cleared for the ILS/RNAV 22L approach’, I should hit the EXECUTE key.
What I’d like to expect is that the system would keep navigating on a straight line until close enough to the intercept for a smooth, anticipated turn on to the ...

From HXr manual - 12.3.5.1.1 Capturing the ILS with ARM
Having done a number of ILS intercepts with the ARM feature engaged, I’ve never managed to have the system automatically switch from HDG mode to NAV mode, when ARM is engaged, as it intercepts the Localizer. Instead I’ve had to manually switch from HDG to NAV in order to have the AP do the intercept ...

Displays flicker at start-up after extended non-use
I have an RV-10 panel with an HXr and (2) HX displays. After a period of 3+ weeks of non-use, the 2 HX displays start-up with flickering screen images. The longer the period of non-use, the worse the flickering.
I have not tracked the timings precisely but after 4+ weeks of non-use, one screen was ...

Re: Have I screwed up my EIS configuration?
Okay then! Thanks for the quick response.
I ‘nexted’ out of it until I got a normal display. Did the Config set and confirmed that Techsen = H. My GRT HX panel lit up properly with all engine input displayed and after startup, the tach worked. Success. Test flight to follow since I’m still afraid I ...

Have I screwed up my EIS configuration?
I’ve been using a model 6000 in my RV10 for over 10 years. I recently installed 2 Surefly SIMs and a Tach2 unit. Everything was working properly except I was not getting a tachometer reading (0 rpms). The problem appeared to be the need to change TACHSEN from “L” (low) to “H” (high).
I attempted to ...

Re: Tachometer input from SureFly SIMs
Thanks! That's what I needed.
I'm guessing that the settings I used for the UMA T1A9 pickup will work as-is but I'll check the TachSend setting = High.

Tachometer input from SureFly SIMs
Does the EIS require SureFly's Tach2 product for tachometer input?

Bad Elf Wombat GRT support
Is there any support for GRT products (HXr) by the Bad Elf Wombat product? The Bad Elf Wombat webpage list GRT as a supported product but I can’t figure out what kind of support it might offer.

Low oil pressure message while HX displays normal pressure
I suddenly started to get 'low oil pressure' messages in flight. They seem to occur randomly but multiple times per flight. At the same time, the oil pressure displayed on my HX is constant and within specs without any momentary excursions when the message appears.

UPDATE: The wing rocking problem has been solved!
SUMMARY: The wing rocking that only occurs when the TT AP is being driven by the GRT HX or HXr EFIS, can be eliminated by increasing 2 settings within the TT AP unit:
1) LATERAL ACTIVITY =5 (or greater)
2) MICRO ACTIVITY =10 (currently testing ...
