Hi Jeff:
No current plans to replace but at some point I think it will be cheaper to replace the HXr than repair it, hence my adapter panel thought.

HS replacing HXr
SInce the new HX is replacing the HXr .....
has any thought been given to a mounting plate that would fit the HXr panel opening which would allow the HX to slide right in and mount in the existing instrument panel opening so instrument panels do not have to redone?

Re: GTN 650/750 Firmware Upgrade
I did the upgrade with no negative effects. It did set the VNAV to the Garmin default, which meant that I could not enter crossing restrictions as I had in the past. I went into the SETUP menu and switched it back to how it was before. The new keyboard is nice. Jerry when you have a moment, would y...

Re: GTN 650/750 Firmware Upgrade
I don't know anything about this upgrade. Garmin doesn't tell us anything and I haven't heard anything about it. Here is the link to the GTN 650 update: https://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00G3X-00 Info is the 6th bullet point under the additional software heading I sent you ...

Re: GTN 650/750 Firmware Upgrade
You’ll need GRT to give you a definitive answer, but probably not. The GTN VNAV data is being sent out using a new arinc format (Garmin429 instead of gamma1) that most Garmin products cannot read either. Thanks Bob! I'll wait for Jeff's response on both the above, and the next question below: Since...

GTN 650/750 Firmware Upgrade
For those of us with GTN navigators is upgrading the firmware worthwhile?
Will the VNAV ver 6.50 firmware VNAV capabilities be able to be sent to and seen by the HXr?
Regards,
John

USB Stick not read
One of my HXrs has suddenly developed a problem; It suddenly stopped reading the USB stick. A week or so ago the LH HXr stopped reading the USB stick (BTW the stick worked just fine the RH HXr). True on 2/2 flights. The stick was not read in either the remote socket or directly plugged in to the USB...

Re: AHARS Failure
Please don't take this the wrong way, but is is possible GRT made a shipping error and sent your old AHARS back to you instead of the replacement unit they intended?

New AOA system - Install & requirements Info?
I wasn't able to find the install information for the (new) sensed AOA system on the web site. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Need to know what is involved and what kind of pitot tube is required.
