EIS 6000/Sport SX altitude hold via trim tab servo
Greetings... I'm starting to hack together an altitude holding system as per subject line. I'm thinking that I can use an arduino to receive serial input from either the EIS serial out or the Sport Tx out, and write the code that will send appropriate voltages to my Ray Allen trim servo, based on ch...

Re: Transponder certification question
Thanks, Bob, good information. Did your guy do the certification in situ? Or did you need to remove the EFIS and xponder from the panel?

Transponder certification question
Greetings... I have installed a Becker ATC-4401 xponder using my Sport SX's internal altitude encoder. It seems to be working correctly, with the displayed xponder altitude matching my analog altimeter and so far ATC hasn't complained. I now need to have the xponder officially certified by an avioni...

Re: OK, THIS is weird... SOLVED
Seems I had inadvertantly change the EFIS setting "temperature units from EIS" from F to C ;'(
Pilot error, in other words ;') As usual ;')

Re: OK, THIS is weird...
Should have mentioned that the EFIS has been installed and working properly for over 50 hours, so mis-wiring is not the issue here...

OK, THIS is weird...
Started up my CH750/Jabiru 3300 / EIS 6000 / GRT Sport FX EFIS this morning and was surprised to see, on the EFIS display, all 6 EGTs WAY over the alarm setting of 1400 F., like they were all over 2400. CHTs were normal for a minute or so, and then they, too, shot up over 500 or so. Oil temp also, o...

a couple miscellaneous questions
Greetings... Now that I have started actually flying my new build (Zenith CH-750, C-FJNJ), I have started to explore my Sport SX. I do have the latest software (9d), but so far haven't found the snapshot button. Also, is it possible to import user waypoints into the user waypoint database via a file...
