Re: Trig TT-22 with GRT HX
Thanks Bob, you confirmed my suspicions on needing the direct connection from the GPS to the Trig on pin 5. I reread the SafeFly GPS install manual again and this connection is defined in Trig TT21/TT22 wiring and configuration section. The wording of Note 2: was confusing to me. Needing a ground on...

Trig TT-22 with GRT HX
If I have a GRT Safefly 2020 GPS module connected to my Hx EFIS for GPS navigation data, will the HX transmit ADS-B GPS data to a Trig TT-22 xpndr via the RS-232 serial link from the HX to the TT-22 that transmits control and alt encoder data to the TT-22? Or do I need to make a direct connection fr...

Re: Tru Trak Digiflight II display problem
The GRT servos are controlled via a RS232 serial data bus Tx and Rx line from the Hx to the pitch and roll servo(s). The TruTrak servos use multiple wires to each servo to command the direction and rate of the servo. The GRT and TruTrak servos are physically interchangeable I.e. mount to the airplan...

Re: Max USB Drive Size?
I am using this USB drive with GRT Hx displays. It is low profile, barely noticeable when installed on my instrument panel. No issues reading files from it.

Re: secondary power input and auto startup/shutdown
To prevent the Hx from hanging up or rebooting due to voltage sag during engine start up GRT recommends using an external backup battery on one of the power inputs. TCW Technologies makes several different ones of varying capacities. I initially installed the 3 amp BU battery version with my GRT EFI...

Use the flight plan “Set Leg” function to select the next leg of the flight plan, then reengage the AP. The active leg is displayed in magenta.

Re: GNS430 flight plan not displayed on cross side Hx
What I learned from trying different configuration settings during a flight today: Jeff’s recommendation to set the “GPS from ADS-B Receiver” configuration setting to ‘NO’ fixed my issue. The GPS1 external flight plan would display on the cross side (passenger side) display after doing this. Disabli...

Re: GNS430 flight plan not displayed on cross side Hx
Jeff, Your last suggestion comment is where I think my problem is. The “GPS from ADS-B Reciever” configuration option is worded very confusing, at least for me. The clarification note info that is displayed at the bottom of the screen for this option reads, “If the ADS-B receiver has it’s on, indepe...

Re: GNS430 flight plan not displayed on cross side Hx
Hi Bob. If I had started out with the HX displays originally, I probably would have followed the GRT recommendation, but I upgraded to the HX units from Sport HS displays which were serial port limited (only 4) and one port on the MFD was dedicated to the internal GPS. But I don’t recall having this...
