"DEMO" files order and structure

I have a LARGE USB Memory stick in my plane. I save "ALL" DEMO files. (May be a bad practice but I do it.) Now, when I want to play back a DEMO file from a MOST RECENT flight, I have to scroll through "GOO-GOBS" of files to get there. Literally years worth. A couple of suggestion...

"VNAV" with GTN 6xx or 175/355????

Help sought ... I recently started getting back in shape regarding IFR flight, including a proficiency check (in an RV6), thus the basis for my questions. I have installed several GRT systems but I have a couple of questions and seek help from Jeff (who I have probably bugged about this before) and ...

Have you solved this matter yet?

I am a bit closer in SC (KCUB) and may be able to help. I have set up aural warnings using various GRT equipment over time.

Re: Multiplexing standby frequency selection serial out/in

You may take the OUTPUT of the GRT **servos** and send that to multiple places (e.g. EFIS's). The INPUT to those servos needs to come from just ***ONE*** EFIS. I have a switch that selects which EFIS **controls** the autopilot servos. All of my EFIS's get to listen. Now, there have even been cases w...

Additional info on traffic depiction

Additional info could include GROUNDSPEED and DISTANCE. Also (it bit more far out) TIME of CROSSING if on vectors that cross. TRAFFIC TARGETS COLORS???? The idea is that in a high traffic environment, without distance, you have to the mental gymnastics to check your range and estimate the threat lev...

CHECKLISTS on Mini

It would be nice to be able to have the "Checklist page run on the MINIs.

Then you don't have to disturb your larger display setup during take-off, enroute, landing or emergencies.

Re: Experience with Touchscreen on 10.1

An interesting thing that I notice is that I like the touchscreen a LOT more on the ground than in the air! Now, this is not a GRT problem, it is just that I realize that for a lot of things, I am so used to the buttons, I revert to them even though the touchscreen approach may have been better. I f...

Re: Utility of internal IFR Approach option on 10.1

The big question here, I think, is whether you plan to actually fly a lot of IFR flights. If so, you probably have a Garmin or Avidyne Navigator already. If you have the navigator, then you will want to be very PROFICIENT with it. It will become the way you enter flight plans and do approaches. Now ...
