Re: Mini-AP not showing traffic & setting com freq

I will have to e-mail you the OP1 code then. I will need your Mini serial number from the upper right corner of the Option Codes page. I probably have it from the service but I need the correct number to get the correct code. The display serial link is limited but does include traffic. Traffic is li...

Re: configurable GPS, take 2

The EFIS mainly wants GPRMC or GNRMC. It will also use GPGGA or GNGGA for altitude and a few others for status but those don't help the autopilot. Sentences where X is not "P" are new sentences for multi-system satellite tracking that aren't part of the original standard and may not be supported by ...

Re: Mini-AP not showing traffic & setting com freq

Originally Mini units didn't have traffic display capability. Does the Mini have Option Package 1 (Feature Set 1)? Check SET MENU, Display Unit Maintenance, Option Codes. The Mini can send frequencies over the display link but there's a possibility it doesn't understand the com setup with the more c...

Re: TRIG 22 Squat switch

If the EFIS is controlling the TT22, then you can set the Squat Switch to "AHRS and GPS data" in the SET MENU, General Setup, TT22/echoUAT page.

If you have a separate TT22 control head, then you can set the Squat Switch to use GPS data in its menu.

Re: Garmin GPS175

Pins 3 and 4 are another receive channel on the ARINC module. You won't be using those pins. Normally they are used for the VOR/ILS output of a 430W or similar unit. Pins 8 and 9 on the other connector are optional in case you are out of RS232 serial ports on the display and need to connect somethin...

Re: Stratux wired connection - I must be doing something wrong...

I don't see anything unusual there. Are the switches on the Stratux serial adapter set correctly? Switch 1 should be On, Switch 2 should be Off, and the separate switch should be on the 232-TTL side. You should be using the 232T pin to connect to the EFIS, not the TXD pin.

Re: Stratux wired connection - I must be doing something wrong...

What matters is that the baud rate matches and the EFIS input is set to "ADS-B". There's no EFIS "Stratux" output yet, that was put there as a future possibility. Just leave the output Off for now. If your Stratux is powered by a battery (no system power), you may need a ground between it and the ai...

Re: Mode after missed approach

The mode can be changed after lateral (localizer) capture. Once the lateral has been captured, the default will be to switch to heading mode on a missed approach, but you can select GNAV after the lateral is captured to change that.

Re: Voltage Readings

Analog inputs are extremely low current, and even if you shorted 100 volts through a 240 ohm resistor that's only 0.42A. I don't see how the fuse blew.
