Re: Issues with the EchoUAT
Jeff, Thanks, I figured you guys were all over this and had some processing going on. Does it make more sense to you as a developer to have the Echo and similar boxes provide the firehose so you can implement as you wish, or provide pre-trimmed data? (as a development engr myself, I can see both sid...

Issues with the EchoUAT
In another forum I'm on, theres a current conversation on the EchoUAT and some issues it has. One of the users (a certified driver) has dove pretty deep into the Echos workings, so with his permission, I'm reposting some of his comments (edited for conciseness) for commentary here on how these thing...

Re: New guy checking in
Beautiful panel. Very nice. However, buy the bezel for the EIS to match your EFIS screens. Big visual improvement. Yeah I have to say I was not impressed by its aesthetics at all...but really? Why are they even selling it this way if they have a bezel for it in the first place? Unfort, I prob cant ...

Re: uAvionix EchoESX
Thanks for pointing that out Bob. I have a bit of time before I'll need a transponder, so I'll definitely watch to see how it all plays out. If need be, I'll simply go with the Trig. Anyone know the status on this ESX? No links on the Echo site, tho you can google the install pdf still................

Re: 480 and HXR ARINC connections
The ARINC connections are on pages 9-16 thru 9-19 of the HX Installation manual. The analog connections are strictly backup; use your judgement as to whether or not they're needed (e.g., if the ARINC fails can you fly off the raw data on the 480, no glide slope?) SOB. Thanks Bob. I completely misse...

480 and HXR ARINC connections
I've been pouring over the ARINC connection diagrams, the 480 install and HX and HXR install manuals, but cant make sense of what data is being sent over each of the ARINC 429 lines and thus how theyre supposed to be configured on either end once hooked up. Is there a detailed description of this so...
