Re: FLIGHT DIRECTOR
Push the right knob twice. You will see the FD option above one of the buttons. Push the right knob again to exit.

Re: Green Arc on Map Screen
Push the right knob (knob, not button) once. Use the right knob to dial in desired altitude. Push the right knob twice to exit. Yes, if you are holding constant altitude then the green arc will be infinitely far away. If you have zero in the altitude desired window, then if you descend (maybe in a d...

Re: Help with Displaying demo files
I will try to help but I am no PC expert either. These files only work on a PC, not on a Mac. 1. Down load from GRT web site the files "GRTdecode_win_2.22.exe" and"GRTdecode.dll". Drag these files onto the desk top if not already there. 2. From your memory stick, click and drag t...

Re: Green Arc on Map Screen
For those who have not used this function, it is very handy when arriving at an airport VFR. Just set the desired altitude to the pattern altitude (MSL), and the green arc will show you if you need to increase (arc beyond airport) or decrease (arc before airport) your rate of descent to arrive at th...
Re: tone out
You could use the warning light out pin to drive a tone generator, 12 volts equals on, zero volts equals off. Then acknowledging an alarm on the efis would turn it off.

Re: USB Power for WxWorx
Mine was intermittent, worked sometimes not others. Contrary to the written instructions, Carlos recommended hard wiring to power. He said they were right on the edge, some would work with USB power but others needed a bit more. Since hard wiring to 12 volts, no problem. Btw mine came with a power c...

Re: lat/vert modes when engage AP
Other notes: In case it isn't obvious, you have to use the HX's HSI page to set the OBS for VOR tracking, or if using the gps in the OBS mode. I like to climb on airspeed (not VS) to assure good engine cooling. But it is always the PIC's responsibility, not ATC's, to assure terrain clearance if IFR ...

Re: lat/vert modes when engage AP
Missed approaches 1. At any time (even before takeoff) cycle thru "more" on main PFD until you see "set Missed alt". push button, dial in the missed approach altitude (this is not the DA (decision altitude), this is the altitude you will climb to for holding following a missed ap...

Re: lat/vert modes when engage AP
Okay, first a correction. On the autopilot menu (after pushing right knob once) the vertical options are labeled VERT or something like that. You can select to climb at a desired VS (vertical speed), or a desired ASP (airspeed); AUTO is my default and it has you climb on an airspeed, but descend at ...
