OK, I did replace my Garmin 530W with an Avidyne IFD540 and it works well with my HX. Just photo the config pages of the 530 and when you power up the 540 go into the maintenance mode and use those config pages to setup your 540 and it will work great with the HX. Has any other GRT customer replaced their Garmin 530W with an Avidyne IFD540? Have you had any issues with it working with your HX? Considering an upgrade and would like any pireps from other HX users.

Thanks, the rain finally stopped for an afternoon so I tried it on an afternoon flight and it did not work in my system. I installed the factory wave files and they work. Do not understand that?

I added audio alerts to my RV10 this week by routing the audio line to the adf connection on my audio panel so that I could disable the audio if I do not want it. The audio file provided is not too great. Does anyone have a better one they would share?

I can verify that the Avare app does pickup the ADSB weather from a Flight Data Systems Pathfinder Remote ADSB receiver when run on a Nexus 7 tablet. I have this ADSB receiver installed in a RV7a and an RV10 with GRT HXs and have flown a number of hours using the Avare app.

I also installed a Pathfinder remote in our RV10 last week and made the test flight and found it picked up 2 ADSB ground stations at 400 feet above our home airport. I installed a Pathfinder remote in our RV7a yesterday and flew today to verify that it picked up ADSB weather and it worked great. The installation was simple, just 4 wires and coax to an antenna. We have HX EFIS boxes. Planning to install another unit in our RV10 next week.
