Magnetometer - powering it via multiple sources?????
I have dual HXrs and a mini-x as backup. I can switch the ADAHARs to get info from any one of these and it works fine. BUT I have the magnetometer powered by the mini only as it has an internal battery backup and in theory should never go down. But who knows, it might and then my magnetometer data i...

Re: Configuration Of Audio Alerts
Not trying to be a dick, but usually female voices are better for alerts, as in screaming is a high tone; low tones are associated with calmness. Theres a reason they call her "Bitchin Betty", and her friend the autopilot "George"......

Re: Roll servo override is not smooth
The override works by physically overcoming the holding force of the motor. The servo doesn't detect your force and temporarily disengage. The motor just doesn't have enough force to hold. When it breaks free and you are still pushing it, it is still trying to hold and stay engaged. It should be mu...

Roll servo override is not smooth
I'm still in gnd testing, so I get the pitch servo wont engage (but both servos respond to fwd and rev testing commands). In testing the roll servo, when I try to override it, it notches or jumps like its skipping a gear tooth, ie its not a smooth override like when the servo is disengaged. Ive got ...

...if MORE people ask for it, I'm sure Jeff would move it up the list, but I'll take hooks for now.....the OnSpeed guys have provided the code free on their website....MGL already put it in their code.....

Err, Ok great!....but uh....not quite up to speed on the V-speed ADS...any pointers to something I can read on it so I know what youre talking about, where to pick it off etc????GRT_Jeff wrote:It should work with the "V-Speed ADS" serial output in the EFIS. I haven't personally heard of it.

OnSpeed AOA tone (McDonnell Douglas F4 Tone) system
Jeff, Do we have (or can we get) a serial interface in the HXr/Minis we can use to interface/implement with this F4 based AOA tone system (2018 EAA Founders Innovation Prize winner)? First link is the you tube demo of it; the second link is the DIY system that we can build if we have the GRT hooks t...

HXR User Manual Draft RevA1?????
Is there a complete draft HXr user manual floating around? I've found bits and pieces of it on the net, all marked draft, some of it apparently locked up by various "manuals" sites......could us no kidding users get it? The HS, HX manual is really old esp wrt ADSB, weather etc.....I'm look...

Re: Hall effect sensors read exactly 10% of real value
I've messed with the zero offset, but that doesnt help. I will say tho that its pretty clear that the sensors are affected by any other magnetic field impingements, for example, the two toriods near each other have affects, and I'm guessing that having the other wires running next to the outside of ...

Re: Hall effect sensors read exactly 10% of real value
The sensors also seem to be progressively inaccruate the more amps run thru the wires. For example, its off about half an amp best I can tell at around 3 amp actual draw, but when I get to pushing 25 amps or so, the EIS is only reading about 18 amps.....its kinda useful in that the numbers do increa...
