Re: Configuration Of Audio Alerts
Just to be clear, you need to follow instructions found at: <support> <software updates> <horizon HX software> Look for "Changes and new features for HX" and follow the instructions for copying and loading the <alerts.zip> file into the HX. Guys, Where are these instructions now? The &quo...

Re: Mini X autopilot vertical mode
Is the difference between the -X and the -AP only a software load? If so, is there an upgrade path or is it a h/w thing? Cost?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: EIS audio out
I dont see an answer on the Audio Lo here, and no where else inthe docs.
So is there an answer?......or does everyone not bother with this and just let the EFIS (HXR in mycase) do all the audio alerts?

Map slew arrows
I find the slew arrows to be counter intuitive and Extremely (with a capitol E) aggravating. I gather at one point these were North South East West arrows and labelled as such. Ok. But in todays world, we move an object on the map to a different location in order to see it wrt to more of the map - l...

Custom labelling for Yellow Alert boxes
Choose your own word for the Serial 1-8 alert boxes. The existing 7 character spaces are fine. Serial1, Serial2....Serial8 are useful in debugging on the bench; but a dark and stormy night failure, or even a sunny VFR day failure, I'll have no recollection for what I hooked up to each of those and t...

Re: Renaming alert boxes
Other than a constant alarm, it should not cause a problem. The unselected display may keep retrying to send data but I don't think that will hurt anything. I will have to check. The display link isn't designed to receive redundant data from two sources, so connecting both HXr inputs to the Mini (o...

Re: Renaming alert boxes
The abbreviated boxes that appear in the top middle section of the screen can't be renamed. The full message is displayed when viewing the alarm before acknowledgement. The display will only complain about inputs that aren't receiving valid data. It's not normal to have an input on a switch. What i...

Renaming alert boxes
As I'm in the wiring stage, and I have all 8 serial ports used, I find I forget whats atched to what after i acknowledge all the flashing yellow alert boxes (serials 1-8). Is there a way I can rename those boxes so its more user friendly to me....? FWIW, I have 2 HXRs and a Mini-x. More to the point...
