Re: Auto Pilot Auto Trim
We talk about it every once in a while, but there isn't one currently in development.

Re: Garmin GTR200
The SL40 and compatible units could send out a frequency change message when its frequency was changed. Only the HXr uses that information to display the frequency. For the other models we don't bother to wire it up.

Re: Rotax 912iS Sport
Is that the one with the ECU that you have to interface to? We made a CAN bus module and modified an SX to read the ECU data for one of those engines a while back. At the time we thought there might be more like that, but so far we've only made one.

Re: Display Dimming
The dimmer control is one of the knobs. For WS/HS/HX/SX models, on any PFD, MAP, or ENG page, push the left knob to highlight the "DIM" selection and then rotate then knob. The number goes from 1 (minimum brightness) to 10 (maximum brightness). If the brightness doesn't change much, there ...

Re: GRT Remote App for Android and Sport SX
We have been talking about making the USB Bluetooth link work on the SX also. Some changes need to be made to get it working. It'll probably be at least a couple months before that happens.

Re: Nav Database - Jeppesen benefits?
In the United States, for VFR, there's almost no difference. For IFR, there is currently much more data in the Jeppesen database, but not all of it is even displayed or used by our current software. You might gain a few more details, but you won't get approaches until our software supports them. We'...

Re: HXr and HX displays
First, the screen that's wired to the EIS must have "Send EIS Data" turned on in the SET MENU, General Setup, Inter-Display Link settings. This tells the unit to send its EIS data to the other screen(s). If engine data numbers are appearing on the HX, but the numbers are wrong or incorrect...

Re: Charts on HX
The HX does not have a split screen for the plate viewer. It doesn't have enough screen resolution to display it smaller.

Re: Can I upload the logbook to the USB?
The logbook is limited to 500 entries. You can download the data from the logbook page. Push DOWN LOAD, then ALL, and it will save a Logbook.csv file to your USB flash drive that you can open with any spreadsheet program.

Re: Voltage Readings
Each unit is measuring the voltage at its input. The EIS computes its own voltage and sends the digital value over to the EFIS. It can also have a difference, but the difference should be smaller than the EFIS simply because the EIS uses less power. The EFIS can display the voltage from all 3 of its...
