Re: Mini-AP - SL-30 exchange of data
I'll try the frequency selection sequence that you have listed below....after I figure out how...the X manual is what I am using and I don't see details on that process. I also didn't see SL30 in the NAV mode selection box...that might be the first part of the issue. I have the SL-30 set up for its ...

Mini-AP - SL-30 exchange of data
Got my Mini-AP connected to my SL-30 today - the counters are incrementing and the Mini-AP presents both the COMM and NAV frequencies from the SL-30 in the status window...receive side works! How can I tell if the Mini-AP is sending data to the SL-30? I tried rotating the knob to set the course - wh...

Re: Just took my Mini-AP for a flight
Did a bunch of 180's using the Heading-bug of the Mini-AP running my S-Tec-30... For the first 150 degrees of the turn, I get a standard rate according to the Turn coordinator on the panel. For the next 10 degrees or so it is half-rate at best - the rest of the turn takes waaay to long to complete f...

Re: Just took my Mini-AP for a flight
I got responses from Jeff on my other questions about flicker/burn-in and Autopilot roll rate.... The flicker/burn-in are known issues without an ongoing resolution other than replacing the screen if it gets really bad. For the Autopilot roll rate, I'll do a bunch of 180 degree turns with the AutoPi...

Re: Just took my Mini-AP for a flight
Thanks Bob...My intent is to continue to use the 420W to drive the ADSB+ output as you have described....using the internal GPS for the Mini-AP will allow me to use the serial port from the 420W to get ADSB data from the NavWorx box. Both GPS units seem to work fine - even with the antenna proximity.

Just took my Mini-AP for a flight
Nice piece of equipment! Originally intended to replace the Century NSD1000 after its gyro went toes up - I'll be able to use it to transition to glass panel with the Flight Director. It is currently hooked up with the Magnetometer, ARINC box to my 420W(with Aviation data through a serial port) and ...

Rumours of a Serial port expansion box
Just getting my Mini-AP up, running and configured. So far, the only shortcoming is lack of adequate serial ports to support all of the features available. When I bought mine, there were rumours of a serial port expansion box that would allow the use of the full feature-set and options unhindered by...

HSI configuration for CDI
I finally got my Mini-AP up and running as a replacement for my Century NSD1000 (the gyro died). Primary use will be as a HSI replacement - but I'll learn glass stuff from the other features. The Mini-AP will correctly drive my S-Tec-30 Autopilot through the S-Tec GPSS adapter - yay! The Mini-AP is ...
