Re: GRT Dual Band ADS-B Receiver
Traffic would be displayed as part of the PFD 3D Synthetic Vision view if it's in front of you. Synthetic Vision mode requires heading, altitude information, and GPS position to work. The "ON" or "TERRAIN" mode must be selected on the "SV" button. "Traffic in view&...

Re: HxR: EGT/CHT History timeline - changable?
The Mini, EX, SX, HX, WS, and HS have a separate "EGT" display mode that shows both types of graphs side by side and matches the colors. On the full EGT/CHT display, the Mini and those other displays don't show the colors (example on Mini install page 73). The inset graphics on the HXr and...

Re: autopilot
That should have engaged at least. The EFIS would hold heading automatically. If you have a Mini-X it would hold altitude. If you have a Mini-AP it will hold pitch (so you can engage during a climb). You should also get a pop-up menu of A/P modes to decide what to do next. Did you complete the setup...

Re: RPM Display N1/N2
The standard tach inputs for a piston engine EIS and "RPM" display work this way since around EIS software version 75 (2009). If your EIS has software to show two independent tach readings such as on a turboprop/turbine then it will work differently. If you are showing "N1" or &q...

Re: Fan ventilation for servos
The servos don't have power outputs so you're just picking off power from your power switch in the end. It should be fine. I don't recall any cases of someone doing that and having that be a problem. The servos don't have temperature sensors but they can sense overheating by other means. If the EFIS...

Re: Upgrading to aural warnings
The 10.1 has audio output pins in one of the D-sub connectors. Usually these wires have not been installed unless the builder has installed them or someone told their installer to install them. Wires have to be installed into the Connector "B" 25-pin D-sub on the back of the 10.1 display a...

Re: Roll Trim required message
You can leave the body in as long as it doesn't interfere with the safety operation. It is held in by red loctite so trying to remove it is not recommended. There are 2 more holes in the cylinder shear base that you can rotate under the arm. The shear screw is a custom part. You have to order it fro...

Re: Software Updates
Usually the problem is that your web browser has changed the name of the file by adding numbers and dashes or parentheses. Many browsers now automatically rename the file if they know you've downloaded a file with the same name before. Check the name of the HHXRUp.dat file on your drive. If it has a...

Re: Altude adjustment
Altimeter Calibration is described in the HXr User Manual in the Altimeter Calibration section. You can calibrate with just the field elevation and altimeter pressure setting (Partial) or from zero all the way up to your plane's maximum using a test set (Full).
