HXr with Garmin 480 (cnx80) obs

Having a bit of trouble getting my hxr to send obs selection back to my Garmin 480 gps. I have both serial to and from the garmin, as well as arinc429 to and from. Can't seem to make it work at all. Anybody done this successfully?

It works for my HX/Garmin 420W. The data uses the HX ARINC out to 420W GPS ARINC-in link.
Of course the Garmin has to be in OBS mode for this to work.

My above post was for sending OBS data to the GPS (my 420W doesn't have a VOR) for when the gps is in the OBS mode.
Or were you asking about VOR OBS data?

Make sure the 480's ARINC input is set to "EFIS". EFIS is the only mode that is listed as accepting the "Selected Course" label. The speed also needs to match the HXr's transmit rate, usually Low.

As an additional note, on the 480 you must use ARINC #2 IN only. I should also point out that I got it to work for awhile, but it no longer does. Not sure what changed. If anyone figures it out, let me know!
