Does the V7 release of the HXr software and include the approach mode feature? There are some updates in this version that I would like to have, but don't want to loose approach mode.

No. I should have an update for the approach mode software in a week or two.

Trying to get the update ready in the next couple days.

Installed version 7 in a pair of HXr's and the snap button is now gone. Is there a way to navigate to a snap button or did the feature disappear altogether?

The regular version 7 release still has the SNAP button. You must be talking about the "proc" approach beta release. In the "proc" version, the SNAP button has been replaced with a PROC button. The SNAP button has not been relocated yet. We might be able to put it in the MORE menu. The only way to take a snapshot of the screen from the main operating pages in the current proc version is with an external button/switch wired to an analog input.

You are correct, it is ver 7 proc. I really like the SNAP feature.

I'm just cracking into the learning the IFR stuff on my HXrs now that Ive got close to 100hrs on my bird.

I havent loaded the Proc version of the s/w yet, so just asking if the SNAP button made its way back into 8.01 build. I perused the change notes but didnt see it. Lots of changes in v8 alone - wow. Good work Jeff and team!

The SNAP button was moved to the MORE menu for both proc and non-proc versions.
