GPS over USB

Post by gdtrfb58 »

I think I may have seen this addressed in the past, but cannot find/remember the response.....

Can a USB GPS "dongle" be connected to/confingured/used by the HXr?

Can I configure >2 GPS sources?

Our screens don't work with any dedicated USB GPS units, and we haven't made plans to support them. The GPS units connected to supported USB ADS-B receivers can be used in the next update.

Only 2 GPS sources can be configured.

Does this mean that if I were to install a navworx ADSB600-Exp for in and out that the GPS built into the ADSB unit can be read by my Hx unit?

I cannot speak to the ASB600 unit, but certainly the GPS in the SkyRadar D2 can be read by my HX (it's now GPS2).

I can't speak for the EXP, but the GPS is available to my HX from the 600B via the serial link.
