HXr and HX displays

Post by easyhouse »

Will the HXr and HX displays work together? I would like a 12" HXr but the second display will need to be a 8" HX.

Yes. You can mix and match any of our EFIS displays because they all talk to each other in the same serial language. The HX and HXr both use Ethernet for inter-display link, so that will further simplify things. The HX and HXr wiring is the same, so that installation would be pretty easy to pull off.

I have the HXr main display and 8"HX second display.
On the HXr I have the interlink set to primary and on HX set to Auto.
I have the ethernet cable hooked up and on power up it say inter communication OK on both units.
Yet the engine readings on the HX do not match the HXr.
How do I get the HX to see the HXr data?

First, the screen that's wired to the EIS must have "Send EIS Data" turned on in the SET MENU, General Setup, Inter-Display Link settings. This tells the unit to send its EIS data to the other screen(s).

If engine data numbers are appearing on the HX, but the numbers are wrong or incorrectly scaled, you must manually change the SET MENU, Graphical Engine Display settings to match the HXr. The only settings that are automatically synchronized are the limits in Engine Limits.
