Percent Power, Odd Readings

Post by mlwynn »

Hi all,

I set up my percent power per the chart on the website for IO360. The numbers were totally off in the sense that at 23" and 2300 RPM, it would be reading 97% or so when that should be more like 70%. I went through the tables from Lycoming for my engine, put in those numbers ( a little different) and it is still reading way higher than makes any sense at all. Have others found this to be accurate?

Hi Michael,

Mine reads "correctly", so you most likely have one of the numbers or settings wrong. Can't guess which.
I put "correctly" in quotes because there is no correction for mixture (I think the numbers assume best power mixture). Since I usually run LOP my actual power is less than shown.
Edit: added note. I think this is one of the things that does NOT transfer over the inter display link. Make sure you've filled out the power chart on both boxes.

Thanks, Bob

I will go over them again, but I think they are correct. Will double check that they are in both upper and lower screens.

Thanks,
