Single Hx Display with Dual Adaptive ADAHRS

Is is possible to configure both AHRS in a dual Adaptive ADAHRS from a single Hx Display Unit. The words in the "Horizon Hx Wiring Supplement for units shipped after Jan 2013" specify that "Each AHRS Unit can be controlled only by one Display Unit" but,

the diagram on page A-5 'Single Display Unit - DUAL AHRS' depicts a single DIsplay Unit with a serial port output connected to both an AHRS 1 and a AHRS 2 which would seem to indicate that a single Display Unit can configure two different AHRS.

Everything you wrote is correct and not contradictory.
One ADAHRS can only be controlled by one Display Unit, but one Display unit can control multiple ADAHRS units.

Thanks Bob,

My concern was that a DU would only allow one serial port output to be assigned as an AHRS configuration output.

With a Dual ADAHRS unit connected to a single DU, in the SET MENU > "AHRS Maintenance" function, is each AHRS individually accessed to set the AHRS orientation and Adjust Roll / Adjust Pitch / Adjust Yaw or are both AHRS configured at the same time?

The serial ports have options for AHRS1 and AHRS2, and when you configure an AHRS2 you get separate AHRS1 and AHRS2 settings in the AHRS Maintenance page. You have to set the orientations and do the calibrations on each one. The reason we wire the control to separate displays in a multi DU system is so one AHRS is fully functional if a display unit fails. The control wire isn't required for normal operation but can provide additional data.
