Trig control - ident

Post by Bobturner »

Now that support for the Trig has moved down to the HX and SX, can the "ident" function be tied to an analog input, so that (with pull down resistor enabled) a simple switch closure to ground (nominally on the control stick) could enable the ident function?

Now that the TT-22 supports the Garmin "ADSB+" certified format, will that soon be an option when controlling the TT-22 thru the HX?
Also, I think there's a typo in the TT-22 manual. I think pin 13 has to be grounded to turn the power on (?).

Correct, pin 13 on the TT22 needs to be grounded for the TT22 to power on. This is normally controlled by the Trig control head, but if you are using the EFIS as the control head instead, you'll need to ground it.

The beta software on our web site (scroll to the bottom of the software update page) has the option for "Garmin ADS-B" which includes the new ADS-B+ format. Your TT22 needs the latest firmware update from Trig for this to work (SW 2.7).

Pin 13 is usually grounded internally by the GRT Trig Transponder adapter. You can ground it externally if the internal connection doesn't seem to work. When the TT22 is directly connected to a Mini, this pin has to be grounded.
