Dual remote mount/auto power down?

Does anyone have their xgps170 mounted in a remote location? If so, does yours auto power down? The folks at Dual told me it would power down on its own once power was removed from the usb connector and it wasn't paired with anything via bluetooth. Just installed mine today and after 30 minutes of no power and nothing paired it was still on.
