Best ADSB Receiver Only?

Post by Sparky »

Looking to replace the Expensive XM sat subscription and remove the WxWork USB receiver...
Running dual HX screens and the trig T22...

Any suggestions ?
Can you directly plug the SkyRadar D2 where the WxWorx was or does it need a hub?

We are clearly typing at the same time! The Skyradar USB plugs into the back of the HX.
The Skyradar does need to be wired to 12 volt power.

With the Skyradar, can you remote mount it? If so what do you do with the antennas? :?:

I have an RV-10 which has a fiberglass cabin top. I remote mounted the Skyradar; glued the antennas to the inside of the fiberglass door posts (one on each side); connected the antennas to the Skyradar with some 52 ohm coax with SMA connectors (one male, one female) that I bought off NewEgg.com for about $7. Works great.

Skyradar does sell some remote mount antennas with a suction cup, to mount on a window, but I get lots of stations with the set up described above, which use the stock antennas.
