MGL Avionics V6 VHF Aviation Radio Transceiver

Postby sonex293 » Sun May 26, 2013 1:51 pm

Has anyone interfaced a MGL Avionics V6 radio to a GRT Avionics EFIS?

http://www.mglavionics.com/html/v6.html

The radio is supposed to support the Garmin SL40 commands, so in theory it should work......I'm just looking for confirmation.

Just to answer my own question...I have successfully gotten a GRT Sport SX unit to transfer Airport frequencies to the MGL V6 Radio using the SL30/SL40 format. Works well.

Hi Michael
I have the same setup. Just powered up today. What changes did you make to get the EFIS to talk to the V6?
Thanks

I don't remember doing anything special to get it working. Just had to make sure the Sport SX Com port was setup....make sure it is in SL30/SL40 mode.

That's about it.
