Read the newest EIS manual, section 7.
Beginning of this section tells you how to get into this set up menu; 7.10 describes setting the hour meter.

Hello Bobturner,

IES is a model 2000G closer to 2002 but with GPS Intreface, manual with section 7 applies to model 4000/6000.

If you mean total engine time, every Model 2000/4000/6000/9000 has an "Hrs" or "Hours" setting in the Configuration Set Pages. If you want to set this back to zero, you have to adjust it up or down one at a time until it reaches zero.

GRT_Jeff, yes, I mean total engine time.

I have tried to find the hrs field using the Display Button at power Up or pressing the Next-Previous buttons for 10 seconds but I have not been able to locate a Hrs field. I have seen a GPS-Page field or max EGT or Max Volts or Min-Volts as weels as Timer but no Hrs Field. Is there a special condition to make that field visible? for example Engine running?

Best Regards

Luis

I think you need to push and hold the two right buttons - previous and display - for about 10 seconds. Engine does not need to be on.

Previous and display take me to the folowing fields

Fuel: Gallons,Liters
Temp: Fahrenht,Celcius
Altitude: Feet, Meters

... etc.

But no Hrs.

Something else, EIS has a 11/04/02 label on one of the boards, So I assume is a very old unit.

Luis,

This link is supposedly for EIA 2000. http://www.grtavionics.com/documents/EI ... manual.pdf

Here is a link to a pdf of the EIS 2000G model manual. http://www.northwing.com/Engine-Informa ... Manual.pdf

It does not mention how to reset "hours" in the config set section. I'd suggest you contact GRT directly because as Jeff says, all EIS have "Hrs" in the Config Set pages.

A date of 2002 really isnt that old. There hasn't been much change in EIS. My EIS dates to 2002 and works just fine.
