Since the HPS-SS-01 comes with 3 wires and a bare shield in a black sheathing, just wanted to confirm that it's ok to cut the wires and bare shield shorter?

I'm building a pusher aircraft so the fuel pressure sender will be just on the other side of the firewall from the EIS4000 unit and I don't need the length of cabling that came attached to the HPS-SS-01.

They're normal wires. The calibrated part and everything important is inside the main sensor body. You may find another wire or two inside the black sheathing. Just leave them unconnected.
