Low oil pressure message while HX displays normal pressure

Post by BillinDurham »

I suddenly started to get 'low oil pressure' messages in flight. They seem to occur randomly but multiple times per flight. At the same time, the oil pressure displayed on my HX is constant and within specs without any momentary excursions when the message appears.

I did do a time in service replacement of my VD150 sendor during a recent condition inspection. This change may have been concurrent with the message starting to appear but I'm not sure.

Not sure where to start troubleshooting this other than replacing the almost new VD150 with another one.

Thoughts or suggestions?

It could be a signal or ground connection issue at the sender. If it happens too fast to catch you may need to try recording it, first with the USB FDL and if that doesn't catch it, the DEMO RECORD function.
