Yellow Altitude

Post by Bayou Bert »

N325MB, Vans RV9A made it's first flight today. Friend, made the first flight.
Panel is HXr on left and HX on the right. At some point in the flight
a yellow "altitude" popped up on the HX above and to the left on the HX set on
the engine page. I can't find the meaning in documents.
The HXr had a yellow Alt in the upper left of the screen too.
Can someone please tell me what this is telling me.
I have the EIS4000 monitor.

Thanks

You can set a target altitude on the main pfd page, and then you'll get a warning if you deviate by more than 200 or 300'. You must have enabled the alarm in the set up process.

Also, If you have audible warnings enabled and wired in you should have heard "altitude" through your headset.

Late getting back. That's what it was. Sure appreciate the info and help.
Trying to get a grip on a procedure to check out everything before flying.
Sure is a lot of bells and whistles for an old Cessna driver.
Thanks again
