MAP source

Post by N333M »

My question is,
On the MAP instructions that came with my unit, it simply says.."To intake manifold" for the rubber line for the vac source. ON the Lycoming pages, I find it says the port for the primer, or MAP on the top of the cylinder head. This seems an unlikely spot for me..so..
Where do you guys hook up the source for manifold vac? is there a port on the intake manifold?
Lycoming 0-320 E3D carburated.

My engine is a Lycoming O-360 A1A. The manifold pressure is taken from the pressure port at the bottom right aft corner of cylinder #3. Had to remove a plug on the engine in this location and install an AN8164D fitting. Teflon hose connected to this fitting routed to a AN bulkhead fitting on the firewall.
