After 1,000 hours with 3 HXs, I swapped one out for a larger screen HXr. Very Nice Upgrade!
After 100+ hours on the HXr it would be very desirable for the HXr to startup configured in the same way it was shutdown. Can I do that? How?
That is how my other 2 HX screens function. I setup my HXr screen in one configuration and it never changes, i.e. PFD split. It seems that on at least one occassion it started up in that mode but I don't know why that occurred (if it did). But on every startup, it takes 4-5 button presses to get the screen configured into "PFD split".
Is this possible and supported? Why different than the HX?
How can I configure the HXr default startup screen?

The default page isn't automatic, it's a setting in the SET MENU. Go to SET MENU, General Setup, and look for "Default page". The PFD SPLIT mode is "PFD/MAP/ENG".
The EFIS will try to return to the last page you were on if it thinks you are already in flight based on airspeed and ground speed. If you're not in flight, it always uses the default page setting.

Thanks! That’s exactly what I was looking for. Will setup for next flight.
