No CHARTS option .. unless set to ON .. then no charts

Ok .. upgraded HX's tonight to 6a .. downloaded charts to new 32 GIG Cruzer FIT USB sticks I just purchased for this use .. the Download manager says that they are up to date .. BUT when I put them in the HX no CHARTS option shows up .. unless I set it to ON and then when selected .. no charts show up.
Thoughts?

Are the flash drives in place when you boot up? I know the drives must be "recognized" during the initial boot.

thanks .. got it figured out .. however sadly .. when zoomed beyond 35 miles .. the charts are unusable on the HX .. get fuzzy, I guess the scree resolution won't support that level of detail.
