GRT Avionics

I'm having difficulty ("difficulty" would be a good word for it) getting my ifly 720 to talk to my Sport SX. I've tried 9600 & 4800, extended and standard. I've tried Adventure Pilots usb to serial cable and one of my own. I've double checked that pin 3 from the serial cable is wired to pin 30 of the efis. Works okay with a 296 but not the ifly.

Pin 3 Out of the IFLY620 is right. Did you setup the IFLY for the baud rate that you chose? in the setup of the IFLY you tell it which baud rate and NMEA sentence structure to use. The Sport EFIS can take any baud rate and is a standard NMEA0183 serial sentence.
