GRT Avionics

I have wired eis serial output to mini serial input 1, have engine option on mini , setup mini serial one input to 9600 baud, mini serial one showing data counter receiving but message comes up serial 1 not receiving eis data. Have I missed somthing? Does mini output need to be wired to eis serial in?

Corrective help came thru Eric at GRT.
I have a EIS 2002 the Mini setup requires you setup to a EIS 2002, this in General setup menu a few pages beyond the serial port setup.

I hope this helps others in future with same issue
