Re: USB stick compatibility
I had this happen to as well. There must be something on the stick which Apple places there. Update: I bought a few Cruzer USB's this week. Downloaded the NAV database to one on my iMac, then updated my SX's. No problema. Threw away the bad stick. Please disregard my previous post. (BTW: I now also...

Re: Engine Bar Graph
In submarines, (a very unforgiving environment of which I'm very familiar), 2 colors are used for the majority of critical instrumentation. Red & green. If it's not green it needs to be dealt with or compensated for. It's either good or not good. If it's "kinda-not-good", I want to kno...

Re: Engine Bar Graph
I agree whole heatedly with Katie's reasoning.
The only time I want to see red is when I there is an alarm state I need my attention brought to.
When the amount of red is limited to alarm states, there is less time spent interpreting the screen, and less chance for missing an out of limit reading.

Re: Website Growing Pains
I just joined a bit ago. I was wondering, is there is a "Mark all posts Read" button? Or a way to do that without reading them all? Presently, the new posts seem to show even after I've read it when I use the "View New Posts" button. That would make it nice just to see the ones f...

Re: Green Arc on Map Screen
Just so we're clear... I get this green arc at various times (maybe even on the ground, but I won't bet on it.). It goes out from the plane icon and back in, looking like a radar/sonar pulse. Looks cool as heck! I am guessing I'm getting this because I may have "zero" set to altitude? (I'v...

Green Arc on Map Screen
Ok. I give up.
When viewing the Map Page, what does the green arc which resembles a sonar screen ping signify?
TIA.
