Jim If you release the buttons at the same time it will solve this. as your fingers come off the buttons you are probably changing the contrast and it makes it change color. The EGTs on an EIS 6000 are arranged out like this cyl 1 cyl 2 cyl 3 cyl 4 cyl 5 cyl 6 This is the way the inputs are arranged. Not necessarily the way that they are wired to the engine. You can find the frequency information on the flight plan page after selecting the airport or navaid identifier that you are looking for. You can also find them off the map page if you use the right knob to pull up the details for an airport target on the map.

Yes, upgrading any of the EFIS screens can be upgraded and will still be compatible with the older WS screens.

Are you using gray code? If so there is no gray code output on the HX and HXr systems.
I didn't look but i don't think there is a serial input for the Becker transponder.

The Fuel total bar graph is on the top left corner of the Engine page and it is labeled "Fuel Total". it also will be in the bottom left on the PFD when you have the engine bar across the bottom.
