Re: heading and distance for waypoint.

We've looked at possibly adding a couple data boxes to the lower left corner but that area is used by a few things and the Mini doesn't give us a lot of room to work with. You can buy the moving map option as a software update code for the Mini-X if you want to add it. You don't have to send the uni...

Re: heading and distance for waypoint.

With the moving map option the waypoint identifier, estimated time enroute, distance, and bearing are displayed in the upper left corner of the moving map. Without the moving map option, the double-triangle course indicator is part of the heading tape, but the numeric course and distance are only av...

Re: Mini AP capabilities

1. The digital magnetometer has to be wired to each display/AHRS by splicing wires. Sending the data over the link is not currently an option. Only the digital magnetometers used by the Adaptive AHRS, 10.1, EX, Mini, and SX S200A (Adaptive) can be shared. The analog magnetometers used by the legacy ...

Re: uAvionix Av-Link?

None that I know of. We don't have any information on how it works. It would have to convert the WiFi data into a standard serial stream, which it might do, or they might have some extra protocol on it that only the AV30 understands.

Re: Ability to record parameters?

There's no internal recording function now and it's not currently planned. The closest would be hiding a USB flash drive behind the panel and turning on the USB Flight Data Logger. If they needed to update the navigation database or something that uses the USB port then they may find the drive and l...

Re: Urgrade HS to HX?

If you find an HX with the same screen size then it would fit right in and use the same connectors. The HX doesn't have a gray code altitude encoder so if you have an old gray code only transponder hooked up to the HS that could be an issue. If you have a GPS attached to the back of the HS there is ...

Re: Remote Radio Control

The squelch is part of the volume control. When the volume control knob is active you can push the knob to toggle squelch on/off. If you push and hold the knob for a second it will switch to the squelch adjustment mode (SQL). The COM 2KR also has microphone gain and sidetone levels. Those are adjust...

Re: Trim tab-style autopilot?

It's not something we've planned to do and I haven't heard any talk about it. I think one customer said there were going to try to hook our servos up that way. Many planes that use cables can use capstan servos with cables that clamp onto the control cables, and we do have a capstan option for our s...

Re: How do I know if an EIS unit have fuel flow option?

A "Red Cube" is a common fuel flow sensor used with the EIS. If the EIS was ordered with the fuel flow option preinstalled then it will have an "F" at the end of the "SW Ver" on the sticker on the bottom of the unit and that F would mean fuel flow is always enabled. If ...
