Any sender with a linear output in the 0-5V range will work. The EIS aux inputs are 5V max. A voltage divider could be used if the voltage is higher.
The procedures need to be updated in the Garmin 175. The Garmin 175 loads the approach, follows the procedures, then computes the deviations and sends the deviation data to the HXr. Only a few work and it's usually impossible to tell if one will work just by looking at the product. The one we know works is the IOGear GBU521.

The only official way to change anonymous mode is through the echo app so there's no disadvantage for that. Your ADS-B In wiring sounds correct. Configure the EFIS input for 115200 and ADS-B.
