Re: Android App Beta 1e works
The app is not a good backup for a single EFIS system because it relies on the EFIS for flight data. So, if the EFIS dies, the app will not show anything except for flight planning using the Android's own GPS. The GRT Mini EFIS is currently in the late stages of development. That will be a good, per...

Greg is just about ready to release a new version of the app that includes radio frequency selection and remote tuning. Mapping is still on the to-do list.

New HXr Documentation
I uploaded the HXr Graphical Engine Display Setup Guide this morning: http://grtavionics.com/HXr%20Engine%20Instrumentation%20Supplement.pdf It doesn't go into detail about wiring and setup of the EIS, but when you know that you can set all the limits in the HXr instead of the EIS, it does make life...

Feature of the Week: SFC
This week's feature deals with a common question I get at airshows when people are looking at the Graphical Engine Display: "What's SFC?" SFC, or Specific Fuel Consumption, is a simple way to measure your engine's efficiency. Find out how to use it here: http://grtavionics.com/sfc.html

Re: Percent power config
Yep, most things in HX are programmed the same way in HXr. Here is an excerpt from the HXr Graphical Engine Display setup guide I'm working on. Should be posted online by the end of this week. I will send you a copy now if you want a draft. It presents the setup in a more step-by-step order with som...

Tech Support Survey: GRT EFIS Settings
I'm working on an improved manual for setting up the GRT Autopilot. If you fly one, you know there are several different gain settings to be fine-tuned during testing. While this is the reason the autopilot can perform so well in so many different types of airplanes, it can be frustrating to get jus...

Re: Serial Port Hub
A external RS232 serial port hub is needed if you are using the HXr with the remote radios. Greg has contacted me and they are working on this. Here is a list of possible serial requirements. I need a minumin 13 serial ports for my system. Com 1, Com 2, Nav 1, Nav 2, Audio, Transponder, AHRS 1, AHR...
