Re: ADS-B vs. XM Weather
Your Skyradar will display ADSB wx radar on top of a WingX sectional on an iPad. I suggest you program the specific address for re-activating xm wx into your iPad. Much quicker than the telephone. Yes- It will do the same on FltPlan Go, on either an iPad or an Android FOR FREE. You can also connect...

Re: ADS-B vs. XM Weather
Well, I got it working today. I called XM (15 min on hold) and they activated without an "initialization fee". I will use it (at least to and from OSH) and see if it is worth it. I already like the "Loop" feature. Jeff- -I have to select something to display lightning, or does it...

ADS-B vs. XM Weather
I know that XM weather has much more information available [/i, but I am wondering if that additional information is actually displayed on the HXr. At the very least, XM has higher resolution NEXRAD as well as lightning strikes, TFR's, winds aloft and cloud tops. Is this information displayed on the...

Re: SKYRADAR D2 weather on HX-HS system
E-mail the people at Skyradar. They will give you a good price on the DX or allow a trade in. I took the discounted price and sold the D2 on EBay.

Re: Map Page Insets
I struggled with that for a while as I also prefer north up. Ultimately, I decided that the inserts are just too important (if you have a single screen), particularly if you are flying IFR.

Re: Logbook incorrect date
Is this the same for HXr? Does this have to be configured (if so, where?). Mine always says 1/1/2007 ( I think). I thought that this was because I didnt add clock power.

Re: Map Page Insets
Check if you have the map set to "North Up" instead of "Course Up". You cannot display the Insets when set to "North Up"

Re: No Glideslope on ILS
Both ARINC channels are connected. They both "count off" in the SET menu. The rates are both set to "Low" (also in the 480) I set ARINC to NAV1 and Analog to NAV 2, because that is how it is written in the set up manual. In any case, I have tried it with the Analog turned off, wi...
