Re: CHT probes
Each CHT probe connection uses two wires. If you're not going to connect a probe to that input then you should connect those two wires directly to each other without a probe. You can make the wires very short if you're sure you won't need them.

Re: dual adaptive failure mode
The Dual AHRS is actually two independent AHRS computers and sensors in one box. They can't talk to each other inside the AHRS box so it's up to the displays to do any sort of cross-checking. If the AHRS are only wired to separate displays then the displays do not compare them for you because they d...

Re: Landing Gear Voice Alert
We have had many requests for landing gear alerts recently so I have moved it up the priority list as the next feature to work on. We are currently working on some production issues and then we can get back to that.

Re: Wind Vector Different
If your EX was made this year (roughly serial numbers 580+) then it already has updated knob software. If you rotate it very fast then it can skip around or go nowhere. If it doesn't work at slower speeds (a steady rate of about up to 3/4 of a turn per second) then the knob/encoder is bad and will n...

Re: Wind Vector Different
It's probably a calibration difference. To read correctly they have to agree on everything, especially the magnetic heading. You can see the computed Magnetic Heading from the magnetometer on each screen in SET MENU, AHRS Maintenance, "Magnetometer Heading". This is computed using roll and...

Re: For Jeff: Percent Power Calculation
The EFIS doesn't keep track of if you are rich or lean of peak and it doesn't adjust the percent power calculation for it.

Re: Installing multiple Current Sensors (Hall effect)
1. On the product page for each EIS there is a "Sensor Documentation" tab that has the CS-01 and CS-02 documents. These sensors connect to Aux inputs and also need EIS 4.8V power and special settings. https://grtavionics.com/product/eis-r66/ 2. You should be able to place these ring-shaped...

Re: mini z antenna
In that time period it wouldn't be clear. We used Gilsson for a long time but around 2017-2018 there was a long term supply shortage and we were forced to change antennas. At some point we had multiple antennas and preferred Gilsson for the Safe-Fly until we settled on one that performed well with e...

Re: No traffic display on Horizon Sport 10.1 EFIS
Mode 3A is about the squawk code. In most installations, the echoUAT doesn't have a hard-wired squawk code source so it has to pick it up when the 327 transmits. There is a Transponder Threshold sensitivity adjustment in the echoUAT app that may help it pick up the code more reliably. The adjustment...

Re: Discovery ADS-B WiFi Connection
UDP. When a WiFi client requests a DHCP address it starts sending GDL90 format data to UDP port 4000.
