Re: HS / WS - Audio Alarms (Please?!?)
The WS and HS have a completely different audio system from the HX. The work is not as simple as turning the audio on. It's currently a very low priority and there's no timeline.

Re: Custom waypoint input?
If you just want to use them in a flight plan, the waypoints don't have to exist in the database. All the flight plan import formats include latitude, longitude, and identifier. The EFIS uses the data provided in the file to locate and display the waypoints. Here's an example of a GPX file with the ...

Re: V 7 ... audio alerts ...
Most alerts play only once when the condition is first met. There's a warning tone, a caution tone, and an advisory/chime tone. Most alarms are just the chime. A handful of special alerts are not related to alarms. AoA has a repeating tone that repeats faster the closer you are to stall. Custom voic...

Re: Adaptive AHRS
You will need HX software version 7 to set the AHRS and magnetometer orientations, synchronize the magnetometer calibration data between each AHRS, and see the correct HDG/TRK indicators. You may also need it for the new GPS module. Version 7 is now on our web site.

Re: AOA Calibration
Only the pitch limit indicator appears during calibration. It also only works while in flight. It could be off the top of the screen if a large adjustment is needed. You can activate the calibration function while playing a DEMO if you want to see how it works while on the ground.

Re: Recording Flight Data
If the EFIS says "Waiting for USB device" that means it doesn't see the stick. An SX normally finds the stick within 10 seconds. If it takes longer than that, you might need to remove the stick for 10 seconds and then try again. Every once in a while I've seen a display get into a strange ...

Re: HX to Sport Interface
The Sport can process some of the HX data, including the heading select, altitude select, altimeter setting, dimmer, and most other menu selections.

Re: Lost Vertical Autopilot
On the ground, you can't engage the vertical mode normally. The EFIS refuses to compute a vertical command without airspeed. To test the servo movement, you can use the Pitch Servo Direction setting in the SET MENU, A/P Maintenance page. Make a note of the setting in case you accidentally change it....

Re: Multi Screen Alarm Inhibit
Most alarm acknowledges and inhibits go over the link. All engine limits work like this. Alarms that may be specific to one screen, such as serial alarms, are independent. If it doesn't appear to be working as described, make sure the link is working properly using the dimmer or heading select, and ...

Re: AP Gain Settings
The glideslope error is the glideslope deviation. This error is integrated. We know the desired angle from the database when you arm the approach, otherwise we assume 3 degrees. The gain settings in the SET MENU are multipliers for the internal gains. In the case of the Glideslope Gain setting, all ...
