Website Growing Pains
Hi Everyone, As we get feedback about the new website, I"m making updates to add & modify features-- sometimes several updates per day. During these times, the site may go down occasionally. PLEASE BE PATIENT, these outages are temporary and usually only last a few minutes as the servers up...

Re: Free flight Explorer
The FreeFlight option is great if you want a certified system. If you want to use the XPLORER for traffic, you will need an ADS-B OUT system approved by FreeFlight, which is big bucks. I've been investigating ADS-B options for our customers and I still think the Radenna SkyRadar-D is the best value ...

Re: Sport SSX - Eng Page - OAT Data ??
Hi Old Navy, The OAT is permanently displayed on the upper left corner of the ENG page. If the OAT probe is not working, it will read -50. You can turn the stats OFF so you don't have redundant information in the data boxes. Also, when you're on the ENG page, press the NEXT softkey and you'll see a ...

There's nothing planned in the pipeline for HX, so you'd be safe to plan your upgrade anytime.

Re: Flight Plan navigating
Hi Widget, Our bench units both will allow us to go back to SEQ MODE and resume the saved flight plan if we highlight the new closest waypoint and hit SET LEG. Did you save the flight plan first ? Are you using an External flight plan from your 300XL? (that could dump the flight plan from the EFIS.)...

Re: HXr and HX displays
Yes. You can mix and match any of our EFIS displays because they all talk to each other in the same serial language. The HX and HXr both use Ethernet for inter-display link, so that will further simplify things. The HX and HXr wiring is the same, so that installation would be pretty easy to pull off.

Re: GPS Navigator?
The certified WAAS GPS is still in early development. I don't have an ETA yet. Our projects for this year have taken a bit more time than anticipated... For now, I'm still recommending new or used Garmin units for certified IFR GPS. If I were putting one in my airplane I'd find a used 430. With the ...

Re: EIS Manuals
I think that's a good idea. It would be a very long and complex spreadsheet, as these EIS units have been around for 22 years. There are dozens of setups! I'll put that on my EIS documentation wish/to-do list.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Welcome to this NEW FORUM.
GRT customers & friends-- Welcome to our new forum. Like an airplane project, it will require some time, effort, and good material to grow, but once it reaches maturity, we will all benefit from it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is currently a lot of information floating around the interne...

Re: sport ws and adsb in
For a WS or HS, you'd need to have an ADS-B receiver that uses an RS-232 serial link. The FreeFlight XPLORER and NavWorx units will both do it.
