Re: sport ws and adsb in
Hi Steve, I'll check with our programmer when he gets here tonight to make sure it will work with a WS system. In the meantime, if your system has the current software installed, look under General Setup in the Set Menu pages. Scroll down til just below the Serial Port setup information. If you see ...

Re: TAS
I don't recommend replacing IAS with TAS in the airspeed tape either for the same reason Bob wrote. TAS can be displayed on the PFD, however. In the Horizon, go to Primary Flight Display page in the Set Menu. You can configure one of the data fields to show TAS. It was always displayed on the PFD in...

Re: Manual updates?
I think a class or seminar is a wonderful idea. I don't have the time right now, but it's on the far horizon if I can catch up on the user documentation. In the meantime, probably the best thing to do will be to lurk around on the forum here and pick up new ideas for what the system can do. As Jeff ...

Re: Android Support for HX?
Hi Tony, The Android flight planning app with Bluetooth communication with the HXr is in preliminary testing, and the first version should be released soon. There's no timetable for the HX and SX integration, but it is still in the plan. The engineers ran into significant delays during Android devel...

Re: GPS for ADS-B Out
Right now, our VFR WAAS GPS (our standard non-RAIM GPS module) will give your TT22 enough information for ADS-B Out. However, when the 2020 rule takes effect, you'll need a certified GPS that meets the regulation.

Re: Manual updates?
You're funny, I just answered this on VAF! Thanks for the compliments over there... Right now the main priority is finishing all the HXr manuals. I'd love to create a new user manual for both HX and Sport that shows how to use all their newer features. We'll see what happens in the coming months. (S...

Re: AHARS. Set Level roll and pitch calibration.
To aid in mechanical installation, Ben recently designed a sheet metal magnetometer mount for an RV wingtip rib. It has elongated screw holes so you can adjust the pitch and roll angles using a digital level. You can download the drawing and full-size pattern here: http://grtavionics.com/bezeltempla...

Re: Max recording time?
It depends on how much data is being gathered by the EFIS and how much memory your USB stick has. Our programmer Jeff said it will periodically stop recording to write the data to the memory stick. This can be anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes. There should be a setting for maximum recording time somew...
