Re: Rotax Oil Press

There is no easy way to make them compatible. An EIS made with more current processor hardware (roughly since the year 2008-2009 and around serial number 19800) can be internally modified by us to do it.

Re: Warning limits

The remote EIS doesn't have independent limits so that is something you can only do with a non-remote EIS.

Re: Jabiru tachometer lighting coil alternatives

Did you change the Tach Sensitivity (Tach1Sen) to High? Electronic ignition tach signals are often low voltage and require the High sensitivity setting.

1. Tach2 requires hardware and I think it was added in 2009 along with version 75.

Re: Roll Trim required message

Is it still holding courses and turning to new courses or is it also performing poorly? When the EFIS sends a bunch of commands to the servo in a short period of time but the plane doesn't respond, it issues a TRIM REQUIRED alarm. The roll servo doesn't measure force so the EFIS doesn't actually kno...

Re: Multiplexing standby frequency selection serial out/in

When you have two servos (roll and pitch) their outputs are connected together. The servos have a simple serial transmitter that's compatible with most modern RS232 receivers at 9600 baud. I think the main thing is the negative voltage is weaker. It allows one of them to drive the wire while the oth...

Re: Multiplexing standby frequency selection serial out/in

It's worse than that. Even when one is not sending it will still interfere and fight with the other trying to send data. Normal RS232 is always driving the output trying to force the wire to a specific voltage and that includes when idle. The only way to connect two outputs is to have a switch to se...

Re: Dual ammeter display

The forum may have some limitations. E-mail the demo.log file to support@grtavionics.com as an attachment. The inputs transfer by aux number alone. The EFIS never sees the name in the EIS. The EFIS does whatever it is told to do with the aux data by the Aux Function. Normally the only problem is whe...

Re: Dual ammeter display

No, there are no limitations on using Amp and Amp2 at the same time. You would set Aux2 Function as Amp and Aux3 Function as Amp2. Then you would configure any bar graphs or data boxes to display them. Make sure no other Aux Functions are set to Amp or Amp2. If you can't find anything you can record...

Re: Page Selection: Page Flip

It is for the remote page flip analog input function. You can configure an analog input for Page Flip and then use it to change pages with a remote button like some have on their control stick. Normally you would turn on the internal pull-up and then use a momentary switch that grounds the input.

Re: Mini-X making Internal Magnetometer function

I'm saying the internal one doesn't provide a heading display. The external magnetometer is optional because the AHRS can use GPS track instead and every Mini includes a GPS. Starting with the AHRS hardware in the Mini there have always been two choices for the AHRS heading/track: 1. Magnetic compas...
