Re: Display Question

If none of the indicators change, then it could be SET MENU, General Setup, NAV Mode Source. That should be External to follow the 430 mode. The 430 flight plan data doesn't include procedure details like holding patterns or procedure turns. It only sends the waypoints. GNAV mode can use the lateral...

Re: TRIG TT22 GPS input

Either way is good. The 38400 NN33 output is the old default. Newer units don't ship configured that way. If you have the control interface connected to your Horizon 10.1 then the EFIS will automatically reconfigure the Safe-Fly to the old defaults as soon as they start talking since we haven't chan...

Re: TRIG Power On

Yes. That way it will always turn on when power is applied. Then it will wait for the EFIS commands to tell it what mode to be in.

Re: Horizon 10.1 install

Can the SafeFly module be configured to output 9600 baud Aviation/Map signal? The EFIS can send out Aviation format through a Safe-Fly port by configuring the port as "Autopilot (Aviation)", assuming the Safe-Fly control interface is active. The Safe-Fly can't send out Aviation data by it...

Re: Mini-AP not showing traffic & setting com freq

We just already have other indicators crammed into every corner of the map page (depending on modes and inputs). On all the EFIS models without a dedicated remote indicator area (everything except the HXr and 10.1) the XPDR box is only on the PFD.

Re: Mini-AP not showing traffic & setting com freq

The Mini software doesn't really know how to handle Trig coms so that looks like the issue. What pop-up do you mean? If HXr has transponder control it should let you adjust the transponder code on the map page. If you have Mini transponder control the Mini would only display and adjust it on the PFD.

Re: Mini-AP not showing traffic & setting com freq

I will have to e-mail you the OP1 code then. I will need your Mini serial number from the upper right corner of the Option Codes page. I probably have it from the service but I need the correct number to get the correct code. The display serial link is limited but does include traffic. Traffic is li...

Re: configurable GPS, take 2

The EFIS mainly wants GPRMC or GNRMC. It will also use GPGGA or GNGGA for altitude and a few others for status but those don't help the autopilot. Sentences where X is not "P" are new sentences for multi-system satellite tracking that aren't part of the original standard and may not be sup...

Re: Mini-AP not showing traffic & setting com freq

Originally Mini units didn't have traffic display capability. Does the Mini have Option Package 1 (Feature Set 1)? Check SET MENU, Display Unit Maintenance, Option Codes. The Mini can send frequencies over the display link but there's a possibility it doesn't understand the com setup with the more c...

Re: TRIG 22 Squat switch

If the EFIS is controlling the TT22, then you can set the Squat Switch to "AHRS and GPS data" in the SET MENU, General Setup, TT22/echoUAT page.

If you have a separate TT22 control head, then you can set the Squat Switch to use GPS data in its menu.
