Re: TRIG 22 Squat switch

If the EFIS is controlling the TT22, then you can set the Squat Switch to "AHRS and GPS data" in the SET MENU, General Setup, TT22/echoUAT page.

If you have a separate TT22 control head, then you can set the Squat Switch to use GPS data in its menu.

Re: Garmin GPS175

Pins 3 and 4 are another receive channel on the ARINC module. You won't be using those pins. Normally they are used for the VOR/ILS output of a 430W or similar unit. Pins 8 and 9 on the other connector are optional in case you are out of RS232 serial ports on the display and need to connect somethin...

Re: Stratux wired connection - I must be doing something wrong...

I don't see anything unusual there. Are the switches on the Stratux serial adapter set correctly? Switch 1 should be On, Switch 2 should be Off, and the separate switch should be on the 232-TTL side. You should be using the 232T pin to connect to the EFIS, not the TXD pin.

Re: Stratux wired connection - I must be doing something wrong...

What matters is that the baud rate matches and the EFIS input is set to "ADS-B". There's no EFIS "Stratux" output yet, that was put there as a future possibility. Just leave the output Off for now. If your Stratux is powered by a battery (no system power), you may need a ground b...

Re: Mode after missed approach

The mode can be changed after lateral (localizer) capture. Once the lateral has been captured, the default will be to switch to heading mode on a missed approach, but you can select GNAV after the lateral is captured to change that.

Re: Voltage Readings

Analog inputs are extremely low current, and even if you shorted 100 volts through a 240 ohm resistor that's only 0.42A. I don't see how the fuse blew.

Re: Horizon 10.1 install

The EFIS (10.1 in your case) and EIS have separate warnings. If you have a Remote EIS (R66) then the EIS warning light is about low oil pressure only. If you have an EIS with LCD then the warning light activates for all of the limits configured in its menu. There is no cross-communication about limi...

Garmin GPS175

The new GPS175 is designed to interface like the previous GNS430 and GTN650. The 175 is GPS-only. It doesn't have a com radio or VOR/ILS receiver. Here are some notes on wiring and configuring. The GPS175 pins are on the J1751 connector. RS-232 connection GPS175 Pin 9 (RS-232 OUT 1) -- any serial in...

Re: Horizon 10.1 install

The GPS175 has multiple RS232 outputs. You will configure one output for the "Aviation Output 1" format to send to the GRT Horizon and probably TruTrak. The "Aviation" format is published and well-known. You will configure another output for "ADS-B+ Format 1" to send to...
